Dan Goldin (Exploding In Sound)
If you've been to more than a couple shows around Brooklyn in the past few years chances are you've spotted Dan Goldin hanging around - and the show probably rocked. Dan's one of the dudes to bring you the stellar Exploding In Sound Records, a haven for bands from the heavier side of the tracks and home to numerous Shea faves like Speedy Ortiz, Porches & Krill. This playlist isn't a bad primer for the uninitiated - EIS bands have been a staple at Shea for a few years now and are well represented within. Dan's known to be a huge advocate for tons local bands though, so expect a few surprises as you give his awesome playlist a whirl. -LC

Brenna Ehrlich
Brenna Ehrlich is one of our favorite ladies on the other side of the river. And since she spends her daytime hours in the halls of MTV writing for both MTV Hive & MTV News and organizing the O Awards we're lucky to see Ms. Ehrlich cruise through our dainty walls at least 2 or 3 times a month. A huge supporter of new bands and the community Brenna's playlist pays homage to her special enthusiasm for the loud, exuberant and ruckus-guaranteed shows. Check it out and spot her in the pit. ~ND

Amanda Contrada (Golden Ratio)
Ms. Amanda Contrada is one of Brooklyn music's busiest bees. She's curated more than a handful of nights with us under a name you might be more familiar with: "Golden Ratio." Setting up events for the likes of Levi's and the Northside Festival, Amanda has a knack for putting out of towners with the best local talent, as well as consistently bringing Montreal's finest our way - no complaints here. Check out her playlist ranging from Canadian punks Greys to the audaciously funky Jamaican Queens - all tracks selected from Golden Ratio nights at Shea. ~ND

Patrick Ronayne
Everyone has that friend who doesn't play in a band, but has the kind of impeccable taste that you can always trust their opinions-- the first one you play the demos for, and the one you ask how the show REALLY was. Beyond his reliable sense of what sucks and what doesn't, he has also logged about as many hours at Shea this past year than any other non-staff member. On an any given night, you can see this eligible bachelor making big contributions to the good vibes in the back of the room. It is for these reasons that he is well-qualified to present the following. The result is one of the more balanced Guest Lists to date-- equal doses of excerpts from milestone shows as well as perhaps the most democratic representation of bands that make and have made up the core foundation of the venue over the years. If ever you were interested in a sampler of "a night at Shea" that clocks in just 12 seconds shy of an hour, this would be a pretty good place to start. -AR
